NEW YORK — A bright bar manufacturer is reviewing the bright bar products it makes in an effort to address a growing problem.
Bright Bar, the company behind the popular Barlotti, has launched a review process to address customer complaints that the products are too bright, the parent company said in a news release Wednesday.
“Bright Bar is taking this matter seriously,” the company said.
“We have taken the opportunity to engage with our customers, including many that have voiced their concerns regarding Bright Bar’s bright bar.
The company is reviewing its products, including its Bright Bar Bright Light Bulb, and is committed to improving its products to ensure they meet customer needs.
We will be providing updates in the coming days.”
Bright Bar also announced Wednesday it would be removing its bar lights from store shelves and placing them into a museum in honor of the late Michael Jackson, who died in 2010.
Bright Bar was founded in 2006 by David Barloni, a former member of the New York City Police Department.
He and his wife, Kelly, started their business selling brightly colored bar lights and the bar’s logo.
The company sells about 100 bright bar bulbs annually, with about half of the bulbs being bright white and the other half being dark.
